I have been using FireFox for several months now....but I am noticing something I don't remember seeing before...about a half an inch below the URL is a green button....actually it looks like just the top sliver of what might be a green button...there is a bar that is covering most of it up and at either end of the bar is an arrow...cursor arrows but they don't do anything...the button doesn't do anything either, but when I mouse over it I get the 'little hand' click on it sign. but it doesn't do anything when I click on it..... ....has anybody else seen this?? I feel like I am being watched....is that even possible? I don't have a webcam so I don't think I am being watched...it just 'feels' like I am. |

No it is not possible, not literally anyways, it could be that you covered one of the buttons up with another task bar and that could be why its not working, just a though. |

(I know, I think) it is a update button to any new version of firefox or any extensions (and I think themes) you have. |

I'm using the same thing you're using and it is just a reminder that there is a new version available. I upgraded to the new version and the button is now gone |

that's what i first thought he was talking about but he says "there is a bar that is covering most of it up and at either end of the bar is an arrow" ...so I am guessing you deleted all your search engines from firefox? Go here: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ce...central-engines and add engines... you'll see how functional that bar is. (It has nothing to do with the green button though, that just works as return button for addresses in the left bar.)

Is it like a green circle with an arrow in? I have it, but it appears and disappears all the time. >.> It only minimizes and maximises the window... or as I know it does. |

Umm, i have that button. It is just 'Go' and if you click it, it does the same job as pressing Enter when you enter a URL into the URL bar. |

When I clicked it nothing happened. .......so I decided to 'upgrade' and download the most recent version of FireFox... ...but I got a warning that said Firefox.exe is trying to connect to a DNS server...High Risk...Block recommended....and then it wouldn't install it...so finally I just unisnstalled everything and redownloaded the original FireFox...and that button is gone  |
