Hi I am possibly buying a laptop soon and was wondering if you have any suggestions. It must be less then $1500 and will be used to chat, surf the net, and light gaming. I would also like to burn cds and watch dvds on it. Also I have one in mind and was wondering for your opinions. It looks good, but I would recommend getting a DVD RW with it. Personally, I would go after more RAM too, 1024 MB it's fun =) |

Obviously, I would wait for Windows XP Professional x64 Edition to come out, or you're not going to get much "64-Bit" (if at all) out of your 64-Bit processor. |

Ok I'm not really all into this bits and bites and all that so whats the difference in XP Home(currently using) and xp professional? Also what does that mean? Processor AMD Athlon™ 64 3200+ (2.0GHz/512KB L2 Cache) ..sorry I'm so dumn |

I have an intel 3.4ht ghz. That processer is a tad sloww. If you like ubuntu you might want to get the comp without an operating system, and install ubuntu yourself. That would save a few hundred so you get more goodies

Well look up the name brand and model number here to read some reviews about it maybe.. http://www.epinions.com It looks great but its more than you would need for what your going to do with it. |
