 Not deleted, trashed. I'm afraid it is basically similar to advertising and asking for affiliates and whatnot tend to result in spam. :/

 Because it's still the basic idea of advertising. You are discussing your board (doesn't matter if there is a link or not), for the purpose of getting something in return.
You can use your signature only for things such as that.

 You asked for people to PM you about merging sites, link or no link, it's still advertising really, although that's not the main reason I trashed it. I trashed it because you specifically asked for a type of site and having been around here for some time, I know idiots would jump at the chance to advertise their site hence it was removed. :/

You're best bet would be to put your message in your signture. :yes: And deleted means the topic is rid of completely whilst trashed means it is archived for staff only and is retrievable. :)
