 I doubt an e-mail to all board admins will happen but it IS possible. More then likely a week before the upgrade:
An announcement in the admin cp
An announcement here on the support forum.

 One of the staff members said "there will be all sorts of fun announcements in the ACP".

Other than that, they will post it here. Kinda doubt they will email all the board owners.

Twilight is upon me, and soon night must fall.

 no we wouldn't email board owners. brandon would probably rip out his hair when he gets all the failed deliveries :P He uses the admin cp to make any big announcements

I think they said at least a week ahead of time, just to avoid worries about vacationing. ;)
