How do i check if my drivers are working correctly? My computer keeps crashing and it keeps telling me i have a driver problem but it wont tell me what driver it is. so i was just wondering how i could see what driver(s) is causing the problem. I am using Windows XP if that makes any difference |

Yeah, that's a problem I had too - of course, i'm sure that doesn't surprise anyone  I think my scanner was the problem. Then I just never had it connected (was connected all the time) and the problems stopped. No clue what was going on or how to fix it without only having my scanner plugged in when I needed it though :unsure: |

I dont have a scanner but i do have a cd burner. i un plugged it lastnight and all of that other stuff. but the computer keeps crashing. I tried to do what Stephen said to do but my computer crashed. It all started when the Transformer Blew down the steet and we lost our power. but come to think of it the thing crashed before we moved and then for a long time it didnt crash until yesterday |

What's it do when it's crashing? Don't laugh - does it run at 100% CPU? Does it close everything? Does it come up with something causing an error? |

:o I hate that screen, when it crashes, are you doing the same thing each time or is it randomly? Also try anti-virus and anti-spyware scans. |

It's randomly, and i do virus scans and spyware scans 2 times a day everyday |

You do know that over scanning can cause problems? EDIT: I'd thought I'd edit this post to save on more posts, you can damage your computer by over scanning because it uses up all the resources, you should only scan at least once a week. Most anti-viruses have 'on-access' protecters, and some anti-spyware programs do too. |

First of all i have never had a problem with scanning taking up resources. Secondly i now know what driver needs fixed and which i wont fix it because i dont want to reinstall my modem |
