 To save money, space, e.t.c... I think that whenever someone designs a skin, they should have one board which they put all the skins onto.

After putting the code for the skin into the Board Wrappers, they should just print screen whichever bits of the board they feel like print-screening so they can use the same board for the next skin they make.

Sorry if I'm not making any sense, it's past midnight here and I'm :yawn: tired...

 pay for the servers I think. and if (corrding a old seth post) they are 'top-notch' then I'd probley cost like 400-1000 dollars, just a guess though. and I'm to worn out to think (I just got home from gymnastics).

 I completely agree; not only do test bboards for skins take up valuable server space, but they inflate the number of boards IF really has. There should be a single board (i.e. "Skin Index"), or possibly a few multiples if space ran out, with massive skin selectors or multiple forums each with a different skin for display.

I hadn't thought of something like this--nice! :D

 In invisionfree 2.0 a board can have multiple skins so some designers might start doing this.

 But a screenshot can be taken from a 800x600 screen resolution, firefox browser, and not every single page of the forum. Your view, and millions of others may come out differently. Providing 50 screenshots for 1 skin because of browsers, ect. is kinda pointless. Besides, seeing with your own eyes is best.

Anyway, somebody brings this up every so often and the answer is always the same.
Skin/code/whatever preview forums use up very little resources compared to even a modestly active forum, so they effectively have no impact on the servers.

As far as them throwing off the total number of IF forums, they have little effect on that either.
Even if there are 10,000 of them, that's just 10,000 out of over 650,000 (according to the invisionfree.com homepage), so... does it even matter?
