I love Halo, but I'm sure it contains some type of sublimital messaging put in by Mircosoft. :arr:
Halo 1 was great, Halo 2 would be better if it removed something that I will mention, due to the fact that I might say a few spoilers. :r

why do you wish that? What would you get by losing X-Box? You would lost the most powerful out of the three systems which is not a good thing by any standards.

X-Box lures people in and drives them insane. They also have a terrible game variety (racers and shooters, that's almost everything they have), and they squander their powerful system by not having masny unique titles.

Let me guess...a better ending?

That ending messed up Halo 2 and promoted Halo 3 ten- fold.

Halo is an awesome game, there is nothing wrong with it. And maybe the only thing they talk about is Halo because they like it and since you havent tryied to play it online/own it, you dont know what its like!

perhaps there's nothign wrong with it, but there's nothing outstanding either :/ .

and i have played it online ( i don't own it) and yes it was nice to play but as i said, nothing special.

yeah, like you know what people play <_< .

i know it has nothing to do with the topic, but i can't wait to see how the XB360 does in japan, with the Xbox selling barely 8000 units this year while PS2 still has 1,014,861 units sold this year ( 2005 that is ), i begin to think that there's more PS2's in japan than people  .

Halo and Halo 2 are some of the best video games, that I've ever played. They have great graphics, good story lines, and heck you get to save the world from those jack rabbits! I did however think that Halo 2 was too short, it should have been a longer. I really didn't care for the ending of Halo 2 either. But don't get my wrong, I think they are still both awesome games. I highly recommend them to anyone that has not played them yet.

i saw a few video's about the game before it was released, the usual trailers. and ( i haven't played every bit of the game ofcourse) i have heard from several people that multiple things showed in the trailers are not in the game. and the ending wich was just crap. 2 things that do let the fans down i guess.

apart from the ending, the story was far from bad, i do admit that ( it wasn't the best story i've seen either ), but i think that a shooter ALSO needs some cool stuff that others dont have. there are more shooters with good storylines you see, so there must be something else to keep it interesting.

and i haven't found that something.

Halo always lacked a good story. The multiplayer was phenomenal however.
Now they are making a Halo movie, let's see how this improves upon the game.

halo 2 is p[retty good, but the whole of the halo scenario settings n stuff lacked a good plot line

halo the movie should bulk it up a bit though, just as 24 will with the movie and game soon on release

Actually, I would say the ending of Halo 2 makes a pathway for numerous things happening. I don't want to risk spoilers so I can't get into it on the forum but there are numerous ways of turning what looks like a suspicious and obvious ending into the beginning of a whole new chapter. ^_^

Anyhoo, I've always liked Halo. I admit the first one bored me a bit after a couple of months but Halo 2 is still one of my favourites to play at the mo. It's just generl fun; the squeals of the dying grunts, the holy attitude of the Prophets, Cortana's sarcasm and of course, blowing up anything that moves - and indeed doesn't move, just for the hell of it.

I also think the storyline is pretty good. It seems better layed out than most games because it tends to make sense and add up rather than throw in things that make no sense or haven't somehow been mentioned. I remember someone complaining once about the 'creature' that appears in it (again not wanting to spoil it so I won't go into details or give the real name) because it appeared too random but numerous articles (from reviews and the makers) revealed that the events of Halo were orchastrated and hopefully H3 will explain that a little bit more.

I can't remember whether Guilty Spark was killed off or not (I remember he was captured and whatnot but I don't recall if he was ever destroyed by the Brutes leader?) but boy I hope he was/will be in H3. He does my head in, in a good/bad way. Bad because he's a pain in the butt, but that is good because it builds up a general hatred towards him so shooting him (pointless as it is) is fun. :w00t:

And the fact you play as both the human hero and the Arbiter of the Covenant brings a whole new view on the game, especially how it changes with old Arby. Only thing I thought was too short. More levels than last time, granted, but still, Halo has the potential to be a HUGE game with lots and lots of levels which I think would help to ensure the story is played out more and in a way that everyone understands...plus more gore. ^_^

I still say the ending was pretty good, I was kind of shocked by it actually because of what my initial thought was as to what would happen next but something tells me anything but that will happen. Hmm...that makes me wonder, is there a secret ending? Like in Halo? You know, you get the usual Halo ending but if you complete it on Legendary you get this weird one with an Elite and Human - which made me laugh...but it was also a little odd. Never checked it out, think I might.

Wow. All that just to say I liked the ending. Mental note: just say no.
