Yep.

Alex_Ionescu writes "U.S. scientists have managed to revive dead dogs to life, by using a technique similar to cryogenation, in which the dogs' blood was drained and replaced by a cold, saline liquid. A couple of hours, their blood was replaced, and an electric shock brought them back to life with no brain damage. The technology will be tested on humans within the next year."

Thank you James, you have helped me on my quest to be perpetual ruler of Earth. I am now all but immortal. Fear me.

Seriously, I don't approve of this. Toying with immortality is dangerous, as it can lead to misery, overpopulation, and countless other problems. I hope the research fails, as it will do more harm than good in the end. Humans simply weren't meant to last forever, and it isn't meant to be that way. There are also religious reasons out there for disapproving of this; some would believe humans are stepping on the toes of God.

Yea, but that cant avoid old age death. Because as a natural effect there insides are wore out..its not a matter of blood.. The hart has quit working and the brain has died. But for a guy who lets say got shot at 23 yrs of age..this would probly work for :)
It might even have the same effect at Clonning and it might only gurentee a couple more days, years...ect..ect..

Like The Pro Designer said... he has a good point. You cant revive old age death, the blood might not be the problem. Even though some of us dont wanna die, its a natural thing and we have to see whats after death.

Yes, but this research and line of thinking will continue, and we are approaching this desire (to be immortal) quickly.

No one should be immortal. It would be boring, and it wouldn't be right.
I hope it fails, or it is all untrue and/or it is a spoof.

It does not make them immortal, it just gives them blood.

I must say that everyone has a point here and I think that it would be usefull for crimes or accidents but if it was caused by nature and sickess then I would say no, do not change the nature...

Wrong. Simple as that. With all this new technology we've been coming up with, man is starting to play the role of God. I am positive that once the human race is extinct...it will in fact be because of our own technology. It will be our downfall. That's what I see.

Well, for all you religious people like me, I think that dying is a good thing, not a bad thing.

To be honest, I'd hate to be in heaven and then have to come back to Earth. Also, if they just HAD to bring someone back to life, it should only be children. That could probably keep the population under control.
