oh ok i see what you mean about the 8 port router. Seems like your price is about right then. Norton IS a better firewall because it monitors a lot more than XP's firewall. However, I dont use it. XP's is just fine for me Tho you should know that it does block incoming traffic so it "helps", just not as much as Norton might. |

Yes and I can't belive it hasn't been mentioned.. On 99% of computers if you use IE you get one IP, and if you use Firefox you get another

Weird when I do it I get two Ip's Also if you use brodband supposedly (I haven't tested this) if you switch between Ethernet and USB you get two Ip's |

I dont think so.... Internet explorer and firefox are simply browsers. Your OS manages the networks connections. Therefore it shouldn't matter one bit what browser your use. |

i think the only way you can change IP adress is to get a new internet connection, or get an IP mask, but this doesn't change your ip, it makes things read it as 255.255.255.255 |

Contact your ISP and ask them to change it or use a proxy or anonymizer, either of which you should be able to find easily with a quick search on Google. |

There's more to it than just that ^^^ if you want to keep it changed. But its very possible to change it for good so that computers can't recognize, even if they try to use the wildcard(*) on the last three digits when banning your IP. When I have time I'll post up the exact steps on how to do it. |
