my xbox is broke; and i dunno what to do

Believe it or not, but X-Play (a show about video games on G4TV a.k.a. G4TechTV) had a video that showed them deliberately damaging/dropping the PlayStation 2 (original), Xbox and GameCube gaming consoles.

I don't remember the exact order, but both the PlayStation 2 (original) and Xbox could NOT stand all of the damage taken and wouldn't start or play/read a game disc. Only the GameCube survived a fall of 20 feet and being hit with a hammer a few times in various places/ways.


Even my GameCube system was accidentally dropped on the floor, but it still works and plays every game I have!

Maybe I should throw it down the steps................ Or maybe not.

Not only that, but if you send it in to Sony or Microsoft, you have to pay a pretty big fee for them to either send you a new one or to fix it, in which case it's just better buying a new system. If your warrenty is still in effect it's best to use that and send it in, and they send you a refurbished one.

My friend did that with his PS2 and got a refurbished one, and just sold it afterwards.

Then with the XBox, some versions of it didn't read discs after a while, which was a major flaw, and you would have to ssend about 50 bucks for them to fix it, and what me and about 7 of my friends did was just break open the XBox and check out the disc tray, hard drive, and everything else.

I heard about a video of some kids dragging a gamecube tied to the the back of a car. They apparently tried to play it and it still worked, I'm trying to to find that video as I haven't seen it yet.
