i always thought people jsut want GMail accounts jsut to say they have Gmail account..... Yahoo! serves me fine... I honestly dont want any lazier form of communication. 1.Check my email 2.Write Text. 3.Send Unless Gmail can knock one of those steps out. ^^^ i'm actually wasting more time by signing up to it... I love Google and I'd love to support them..but... |

1gb storage with 10mb attachments is nice. And Yahoo's filtering sucks, bigtime. Though it does catch 90% of the spam for me, that's not good enough. Plus it catches plenty that's not spam, which is an even bigger problem, especially since Yahoo is so targeted for spam, and their services like Yahoo Groups are either designed specifically to allow others to harvest your email address, or are just incredibly poorly thought out, so when it does filter a non-spam email, I can't weed through the 900 or so in the bulk mail folder to find it. And they only allow you a certain number of filters, unless you pay. I'm sure I could find other things, if I thought about it, but those are quite enough for me. Yahoo is good for a garbage account though. Since I got Gmail, I now use my Yahoo address mainly to put on website forms and software registrations and stuff I think I'll get spammed for. |

i dont have as much problem with spam.. and the litte i do is my fault for signing up to dumb things.....but they dont bother me... the thing is...u can never give up an email... i thought I was switching to Yahoo when i left hotmail...but i have to constantly check that too.... i gues i could write...i'm switiching emails, to everyone..but there's alot of university profs on my list that i rather not speak to ever agian lol.. but i dont want them to send me an email and i end up not getting it although the attachment deal sounds nice. But I never attaached somethig to big for yahoo, and finally Google needs a messenger... a lot of my emailing is related to messenger ..whether tis finding their email through something or just emailing them knowing that they'll get my "You Got Mail" message in their messenger.... but who knows I may follow the masses... I tried hard to stick to IE but couldnt do it any longer and ended up with Firefox.
