killahstyle003, you are missing the point in this case. We take that into account.
In this case the admin posted knowing that what was going could get his board closed.

Yes well thats a different case, if he knew what was going on and let it carry on then he deserves to pay for what he has done, one way or another.

Im just talking about lies and cheats who con people into being granted a position in power eg. admin, then take advantage and break the rules. Even in real life there are far too many con artists and liars who get what they want because they come across as very trusting people.

In no way am I saying anyone isnt doing their job, just bare in mind some people cant be entirely blamed for others actions thats all.

Which is why the root admin is warned usually if a violation is found, so they can deal with the situation.

Well then thats all good and great, im just pointing out this needs to be done. If it does get done then thats fine, its just someone said if the co-admin did something so bad that the site deserves to be closed down then it should be done without warning and its the root admins fault for taking them on(or something along those lines), whereas I disagree with that comment thats all.

The fact is, if people take risks when they have ALREADY been warned then they will be shut down if they continue. The ROOT admin is in charge and held responsible for their board, if they have an admin up to no good it is up to them to rid of them. If they are warned then then they should take action, if they fail to and something happens then why should they be given another chance when other forums wouldn't?

DuffMan is careful about the closing of forums, as said before and many other times, forums will be closed if there is a serious violation or repeat offences. The TOS states that your board is your own responsability, that includes hiring staff. If you already know that you're at risk by keeping someone on then that is a risk you shouldn't take, if you do then the consequences are clear.

We take into account which admin is causing the trouble when deciding how to handle the problem.

Even if the board owner no longer visits the board we try to warn any other admin that is active.

How do contact the admin? Via PM? Email? Becuase my bored (which I was NOT root admin but mainly was since the root admin never was around to busy with school) I was never told. Niether was the root admin. I had finally got a hold of him and he said he got an email from a banned member saying he was going to #$%^$ the board. So how do you contact them?

I haven't ever had my board closed for violation of the TOS, however, I'd think that if the root admin was posting porn on the board, then its quite obvious that it should be closed, however, if its an idiotic member, trying to get the board closed by posting up porn images, then I think the root admin of the board should be notified to remove the member(s) who are producing and posting the pornography.

The same goes to warez. I would think that the root admin would be warned/contacted in a case like this.
