the tabbed browing if I recall from reading a while ago actually decreases the amount of RAM that needs to be used.

Yeah but FF loads slowly anyway and uses loads of ram, id rather stick to opening 2 IEs and be done. Its not like you can be searching much more then 5 pages at once anyway.

I have searched up to 24 pages at once. 5 pages is nothing, image 24 IEs   as opposed to 24 tabs.

IE takes 10 mins on a DSL to load.
FF only a few secs.

Then you need a new computer.

IE loads fine for me just as Fire Fox loads fine for me.

Quantum-locked when observed.

Code:

DOM Module   Category   Firefox    IE    % FF error  % IE error
_____________________________________________________________
Level 1 Core   Runs         238     224
              Errors        15       2      6,30%    0,89%
              Failures      14      85      5,88%   37,94%
              Seconds      270     224     12,18%   38,83% <-- Total errors or failures

DOM Module   Category   Firefox    IE    % FF error  % IE error
_____________________________________________________________
Level 2 Core   Runs          11      11
              Errors         0       2         0%   18,18%
              Failures       2       5      18,18%   45,45%
              Seconds    17,52   10,96      18,18%   63,63% <-- Total errors or failures

DOM Module   Category   Firefox    IE    % FF error  % IE error
_____________________________________________________________
Level 2 HTML   Runs         685     685
              Errors         0      16        0%    2,33%
              Failures      16      58      2,33%    8,46%
              Seconds   871,46  898,44      2,33%   10,80% <-- Total errors or failures

These are some results from running tests on IE and Firefox support for DOM, at http://www.w3.org/DOM/Test/

(I have not run these tests for myself, rather this is referenced from a post elsewhere in another browser discussion topic. Feel free to run them yourself and compare notes, eh.)

IE is losing this war to FireFox, Safari, and Opera mainly because it runs on ActiveX... Damn it!
