Anyone who can say they love someone without knowing their personality is judging on looks alone. Weeeeeak... <_<

That's not true.
I happen to agree with Aka Tolken's comment:
Quote:

It's not just a physical thing, but to do with energies too.
But it's hard to explain that to somebody who's never experienced it, or whose belief system doesn't allow for such things.
However, it's been scientifically proven that there are many factors involved in what we call "Love", and some of these take effect "at first sight", such as pheromones, as well as predispositions determined by our upbringing, including early childhood imprinting. :eh:

And why couldn't there be love at first sight with animals?
There is with human babies and even toddlers.
This love has nothing to do with sexual attraction, hopefully :r , but love and sexual attraction aren't the same.
I'm constantly sexually attracted to people I don't love, and have been in love with people I wasn't terribly attracted to.
I had a girlfriend a few years ago that, had I not been in love with her, I definitely would not have found attractive, but for the most part, when looking at her, I didn't see her as she physically was, but rather.. I saw her potential, if that makes sense to you.
Not potential as in, after exercise or plastic surgery or whatever, but potential as in.. well, it's hard to explain.. her inner self, her truth, you know?

Call me a hippy, or whatever, but I learned of the existence and value of unconditional and universal love some time ago, not that I can maintain it if somebody's going to be a complete ass.. I'm no Dali Lama.. but my first instinct is to love, and most animals aren't afraid to let you love them, like people are.
So, I would have loved the kittehs even if they hadn't been in the pet store, but because they were, I knew there was a good chance that if nobody bought them soon, they could be euthanized, which is why I cried when I left, when I would have simply been sad to leave them otherwise. :/

No, I totally agree, it's just that it's impossible to know who someone is before speaking to them or knowing what their personality is like. (I know the difference between love and attraction >_< ). What I'm saying is, that if you "love" someone at first sight, chances are it is looks that you are judging them by. :/

I think its not love at first site for most. It happenes to be love of the body or flesh at first site. You dont know nothing about the person other than there outward appearance.

Like as males see the Girls bodie they look it over and then they think wow she is hot or she is not.

But its whats on the inside that counts. Men dont go just for pretty face, big booty and big boobs! If your wife has perfect body and bad attitude she is not good.

So I think love at first site is like love of the Body. I mean how can you love someone if you dont know them?

I don't know.....the girl I like now, when I first saw her, there was something, we were always calling each other names, now we're like best opposite-sex friends, but she won't go out with me because we are too close.

It's heartbreaking :(

Are you being serious?

According the date of birth in your profile you are a few months older than me. You've crammed an awful lot into your short life. Have you given yourself time to grieve?

True love is by personality and attitude.
Cuz do you want a girl/boy friend that is mentle or has bad attitude or loves you only for money looks and how you do things in the.....yeah
Love is strong in teen years but is not true
if your a girl heck I'll probalay like you and yes im a guy for all that don't know

Meh, I've been through my own personal hell and I'm younger, though nothing to do with marriage. :ermm: One thing I've learned is there's no such thing as being too young for experiences, good or bad. :)

In some cases. ;) My parents were 'high school sweethearts' and in spite of the fact the drooling idiot left, my father loved my mum until the day he left, probably still does/did. Infatuation can fade, love doesn't. There is a difference between the two, though they walk fine lines as most people learn.

Yes, love at first sight is very true, in my opinion VERY true. When you see the one person you will spend your life with for the rest of your life, the fist time you see them is love at first sight, and to have love at first sight you need to love each other for your inner beauty, not looks and so on. Take this from someone who thinks he has found his true love... :$
