The American school system would rank about 87th of the industrialized nations, I'm sure.  Unless your parents are rich enough or determined/smart enough to do private school or homeschooling. Anyway, Lancebreaker left out preschool, kindergarten, middleschool, mid-high, junior college, graduate school, etc.  The American system is pretty varied, as well as silly, but apparently so is the British system. Preschool is usually for kids aged 4-5 and under, kindergarten is usually aged 4-6 or so, then the numbered grade levels, and in areas with middleschools, they usually encompass grades 5-8, I think.. (it's been awhile since I've known anyone who went to one) then highschool is grades 9-12, or if there's a mid-high, it's usually junior high is grades 7 and 8, mid-high is grades 9 and 10, and senior high is grades 11 and 12. :wacko: Oh, and I've been "out of school" since before some of you were born, though I didn't finish college and keep threatening to go back. I take a course or two every now and then, but I don't really consider that going to school. |

Wow...when I first joined this forum it struck me as mainly populated by adults, (and maybe it still is) but now I see that most of the people who posted here are in my grade...cool!
