Yahoo allowed 4mb for their free accounts. I think paid accounts got 25mb? :unsure: Anyway, they used to allow 6mb when I signed up back in 1999 or whenever, then they dropped it to 4mb shortly after that, probably hoping people would sign up for their paid service, and they only bumped it up to 250mb after Gmail came out, figuring (and rightly so) that tons of people would be leaving them if they didn't. |

Yea, I got mine the same year, 6 mb's of space, then they dropped it. I thought that was good, but now with Gmail...wow! And great prank from Gmail, google gulp.

As do I. Gmail's staying ahead of the pack! This is great, I'll never have to worry about space, as I was starting to wonder what would happen when I reached 1 gigabyte. Would I delete old emails, or get a new email? |

I have exactly 2 GB more then hotmailusers. (Just 2mb around here. US get 250, not fair) The only thing I don't get is: Why?? Did somebody get the 1GB full? (Ok, friend of mine did, he used it to store movies, but thats not mailing, so doesn't count) |
