he did though ask questions and draw conculsions from them. Like in say the hound of the baskerviles his client left black boot was missing. The client's family 'supposedly' had a curse that a demon hound was huanting them. Since a dog needs something of that person to find them, the criminal used a boot from that person. Like him we asked questions, and drew up what we read to help Jay fix it.

Sherlock Homles in almost every story, movie, or episode (there was a TV show) asked like 5 - 15 questions. As he would say in the TV show "sherlock holes in the 22nd century"

"all I did was use my eyes and my briain watson' - Sherlock Holme(s). I think I need to get away from this topic .

And yes, I am a 15 year old boy.

Both of them,IE and Firefox cause trouble for me.I use one for certain things and the other for certain other things.I'd like to meet the person who comes up with a universal browser that has no problems at all.

try using msn it work really well

I only use MSN for browsing Communities on MSN. It's a highly decorative version of IE from what I can see so it's no different really.

Safe Mode won't open either. :/ Same thing. >_<

wondrnig but you live alone? if not ask the other people in the house/apartment if they did anything.

I was the last on the computer last night, first this morning. Mark's away for the weekend and Meryl's at her mum's so twas only me.

Also (a wild shot here) try deleting firefox permissions from your firewall so it will have to ask permission again.

Seems like a good shot. Now I just need to figure out how to delete permissions from my firewall. Mark's the net whiz, I just logon and get surfing so I know little about firewalls and such. :ermm: I've yet to find a clear article that explains it to me without me scratching my head halfway through and closing it to continue surfing. >_<

I have firewall option in my XP security center but can't find permissions. And yeah, I run XP if that might have anything to do with it.

Deleted FF (newest version) and going to try reinstalling it but still that flipping old one remains. It's annoying me because it seems the only thing that's really different since last night. Remind me never to update FF again. -_-

it runs better and yeah it does look nicer

lol you posted sherlock homles and a solve mysteries website came up in the ads.

back to the topic, could you have a bad profile? try posting at mozillazine's fourms(http://www.fourms.mozillazine.org/) in the FF support.

I already sovled the problem. it was a bad profile I think. When you delete firefox the (defualt) profile stays installed unless you delete ALL firefox folders (I think) otherwise I don't think uninstall does anything except remove taken space.

could possibly (or probley) be something with your profile (firefox) which ever icon you use to get into firefox, right click---->proerties->target

put in -ProfileManager after the ""C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"

so it should look like "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -ProfileManager ". that should when ran (clicked icon) a box saying which profile you want to use, create a new one and see if that does anything if so exit get into the old one (if you can) bookmarks-->manage boomarks---->file---export.

choose the loction you want to put the HTML file of all the FF favorites you have. And delete the profile (if you want).

just a guess, but I think i had some thing similar happen but that was with extensions. Deleting the profile and creating a new one helped.

I love you DBZ, it worked! Thank you soooooooo much. No FF makes moderating hard, hurrah, my hero.

I'll e-mail you a drink.

where the red starts is jays post. the starts of the slanted text is my post that he followed and that solved it.

just remove the -proflemanger thing you added eailer should stop.

"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"

yes it is a bit annoying but meh, it's a good precaution I guess. There is a also a firefox extension that lets you actually open up the profile folder. Get it from
http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/index.php?showtopic=3213

delete the link if it's advetisting but that's a very good site to get firefox/thunderbird extensions/themes. (sorry if that's BSM).

I doubt Sherlock Holmes ever used Firefox

Yes, he wouldn't be stupid enough, a great detective like him.

Kidding, of course. ;)

I changed from IE to mozilla because of all the spyware i have been getting, but sometimes i am forced to go back and use IE to open certain pages and download things. It can get really annoying.

Just like to say, I've just been having this problem since I read this topic. I found the problem - one of the extensions I had installed seems to have been buggy, causing it to crash every time I opened it.

I uninstalled the Flash Blocker, Flasg thing, Idiocy Level, Domain Registration Info thing, and a couple of others. It's working perfectly now. Go to Safe Mode, uninstalled them, started it up in normal mode and it's perfect.
