There is a mod at invisionize called "Miserable User". There you can set on the admin cp which user can have this. On the admin cp, you can change settings for things such as how many seconds does the forum "hang" or how many seconds or minutes for a user to wait after they posted. And more other annoying features. I thought that was just pure brilliance on their part.

I wonder if you could use some code to target them and crash just their browser or something?

I think I could do something like that.

Basically it would make their browser do a task an infinite number of times, they would have to restart their computer.

Seems quite nasty though.

Not nasty, fun.

Or maybe, when the perpeteur comes to your site, you send massive amounts of...iFrames and totaly crash thier sysytem.

Evil, but still, it dosen't break the law.

I never mess around on my IPB forums if someone breaks an IP ban I get really angry and I don't make things to pleasant such as stuff like you guys dont like peeps talking about so i won't just imagine. But with IF since you guys like rules and stuff If soemone breaks an IP ban I use various scripts that are perfectly legal to handle them and if the y still want ot jump through the hoops just to spam I just keeo on adding layers. If it is a real problem do like what is suggested earlier dont give brand new members all the benefits of being a regular member like setting flood control and promotions this deters all but the most harcore of idiots. Those things and keeping you account secure should make them no threat to your board.

It's not that IF has big rules that deters people, it's that, they have a more comprehensive banning techniques than the regular user.

They can use bans that places a cookie on your computer so even if you changed IP you stay banned (given you don't delete the cookie)

or use a .htaccess file and limit certain IP's from ever going to IF's site

or ban them via cPanel which you can ultimately ban them from ever reaching a site with the URL invisionfree.com

Yeah I know but its like the wohle thing like if someone pissed me off and i just like snet a virus or something IF really wouldn't be happy with me. But I'd definately do it if it was one of my paid IPB sites.. But there are just soo many ways to have fun with people on IF besides if someone comes and spams up my sites i just junk them More post count for my site XD It's the ones that threaten to hack or crack that bother me. I know my password isn't crackable I left a brute forcer on it for 6 days. But its just the fact that they say it and are actually going to try those are the ones I wish I could just blow up thier computer or something.

Mainly because viruses are illegal. :ermm: I think if you send anyone a virus becuase they break an IP ban you're probably committing an illegal act since viruses are meant to disrupt or even wipe computers.
Methinks if you're doing that it's not legal. You should probably be reported. Unless suddenly there are now legal ways of disrupting computers without getting into trouble which is highly unlikely. :eh:

Well i was using an example... Not that I really would the worst I would do is find the forum they were assosciated with and flush it... and only if they actually damaged my forum I likes me fun with the talkers cause they will go a long way to make themselves look dangerous but it is fun to play with them.

There are many ways to legally get someone off the internet. Like gaining an email account of thiers and violating thier ISP's TOS Reporting them tho the ISP if they actually are manually changing thier IP or using programms that do such most ISP's don't like that. and then there is just out and out wayts to track them and report them for fraud under the cyber crimes act for Chanigng and impersonating an invalid IPA. just to name a few ways
