 Key loggers don't click anything.
They log your keystrokes and generally upload the logfile to the "hacker".
Could have been a script or possibly a macro program or something though.
I seriously doubt anyone would actually sit there and click 20,000 times unless they had Parkinson's disease pretty bad.

Or Alzheimer's and forgot they clicked it the previous time.

One site was taken off the directory list because the guy made his forum and clicked away right after he made it and added it to the directory, so even if you didn't click it 25,000 times, you shouldn't click it 100 times either, as that's cheating too.

As I said, per IP address, so with them it would count every time they signed on / off / whatever.

 yeah, I had the same thing, and as you can see, my board is #1 there in that same category. Yesterday I had something just over 3,000, and today it jumped to over 48,000. I have since written a support ticket and my question is in a queue. I don't mind being up that high either.....lol......but just curious as to what happened.......I didn't pay anyone to click 45,000 times either, honest. :lol:

Maybe the shoemakers elves came to my site overnight and helped out. :P

 Maybe some idiot competitor or just somebody who doesn't like your forum is hoping they can get you closed down by making us think you're cheating.
Yet another reason the directory should just be scrapped until it's fixed. :yawn:

 could be, never thought of that, and I have had a recent surge of advertisers, spammers, and just general numbskulls signing up with pay-per-click schemes, but soon deal with them and send them to banned heaven. So maybe it's a small payback, in a weird and stupid way. :wacko:

I'll keep an eye out :rolleyes:

 I think the directory should be replaced with a forum here where you are allowed to place one advertising topic, and everything is listed by category and alphabetical order. No offense, but the directory is a piece of junk. If you were to simply have a forum here that replicated the directory, it would function much better, as it would be easier to navigate and much harder to cheat with and boost you forum to the top.

Just an idea.
