All I know is if someone I didn't like was saying witty remarks towards me, he will get a palm full in the face. If I didn't knock back a few of his teeth, the worse that is going to happen is him going away to the bathroom and re-collecting his ego. After I smack him, I say to him "are you going to stop?" and he'll probably say yes.

As Jay said, you won't last long in the real world like that.

Firstly, when I insult somebody, they generally don't even know they're being insulted.
Why?
Because I'm intelligent and understand subtlety, and it amuses me to toy with them without their knowledge more than it amuses me to be blunt.
But sometimes being blunt is what's needed, and I have no problems with that either.
If somebody like you wants to be a fool and throw down over a little insult, that's amusing on a whole other level, as you'll probably find yourself in jail for a little while, getting who knows what done to you, and paying any medical expenses I might have, as well as maybe some other monetary damages if I can pull it off, which I can use to take your girl out to a fancy dinner, and then when you get out of jail, I'll go back to insulting you if I feel like it, and laughing about you with my friends.

Not that I wouldn't ever start a fight with somebody, because I have and will if the situation calls for it, or that I'd always go the legal route if I really felt I deserved what I got, (though I rarely have to worry about that, as the scenario is more like: toughguy thinks he can take me, throws a punch or two, I break his nose with my forehead, put him in a headlock, and strangle him until he passes out, then urinate on him and walk away laughing) but if somebody is stupid and macho enough to fight me over some comment I've made, unless I called his sister a slut or something, I won't hesitate to take any option at my disposal.

You should consider stuff like that and adjust your thinking, because life isn't like highschool.

If you have read my other posts, I explained the method of ownage through the perspective of Highschool...not right at the get-go off with work. Meaning how you would own someone if you were in highschool, as frankly, not a whole lot of members on this forum are adults, and hence they wouldn't have a full time job. (And for all of you who says I work at macdonalds or just have a job in general, good job, I'm talking about the members in general. A lot of the members here are teenagers who still go to school.).

But tell me this, if a guy was saying witty remarks at you or insulting you at your job, you of course will probably just ignore it or say something back to make him/her knock it off. But, if they persist on their own-doing, wouldn't a small and insignificant jab to the ribs or stomach and an idle threat be the course of action? Personally, at my work place, the employees there are mature enough to not even start with these confrontations, but all I know is if someone starts a quarrel, it wouldn't last long before it gets physical (not full-blown fights, but jabs and slaps to make the person stop)

Yes, you could lose your job for initiating physical confrontations, but if you're an adult, you will only resort to physical violence when it's called for. Not only will you be in the hot seat, but the culprit who started this whole fiasco will also be in a heap of trouble.

You keep saying contradictory things, which is why my post wasn't geared toward highschool, but rather, geared toward life and trying to make you realize you're not making much sense.

I doubt I'd ignore it.
I might smile and laugh at it, if it was truly witty, or I might make my own comments and out-do him, or at least try.

No.
That's absurd, and why I said what I did previously.

Sounds like you work with crackheads, morons, and children.
You should find a new job.

Which is what I said.
And jabbing or slapping or doing whatever else to somebody, especially at work, for making silly comments is just stupid and totally uncalled-for.
If it ever got beyond what I thought was acceptable, I'd talk to them and try to call a truce, or talk to the manager or whoever if it was at work so they could mediate, or just avoid the person.
There are legitimate reasons for getting physical, but that's not one of them.

fighting is for people who can't win with words...

I don't think there's anything macho or cool in beating up other people... sure if he comes after you with a baseball bat words won't do you any good, but hitting people because of things they say? That makes you look stupid more than strong.

If I'm insulted, provoked or just teased I'll try to be a smart-ass back, but if people are agressive I'll just walk away.
When I discuss I prefer sarcasm, wit and subtle insults rather than just foul language. If I get truly TRULY pissed you can hear me talk trash... but it's not very often.

@SkItZo: I've worked for many years, including on construction sites, and I've never seen people resort to violence to resolve conflicts. I doubt that your workplace is very representative in that way...

Forget the fists.
Report him and get the administrators to suspend him or just kick his stupid ass out of school so he can't harass people and interfere with their learning.
If he wants to learn, he'll find some way to manage, and if not, he can pump your gas.
