Agreed. Making a species superior to humans that is intelligent enough to reproduce itself?

We're headed towards danger here, no joke.

True. Asexual reproduction... Where's the fun in that?

Seriously, We can get over population.

Then wars,

Then drafting of people from the ages of 2 till death

Then IF runs out of Souls to run it's servers.

Then more wars

i think its good, its a very good achiment. but when it comes to the "danger" i say: the only reason a robot would ever want to eliminiate us is if we treat them unequal. an inteligent robot shall be treated as an equal to a human. then there is no danger

I highly doubt that. In this world, the cold, hard truth is this: intelligence craves power. What do you think happened with humans? We ended up taking over the world and treating all other animals like property.

The same could easily happen with robots. Forget us treating them equally; I'm more concerned about them condescending to us.

The main problem with Asexual Reproduction is the lack of variation between generations. With most organisms on earth, generations usually alternate between sexual and asexual reproduction, giving the species some sort of variation of traits. A species without variation is dangerous, because if one gene is bad then from then on, all the generations will have that bad gene, or..... if a deadly disease only affects one type of person, and the whole population is like that one person, since there was no genetic variation between peoples, then the whole population will become sick and die. Asexual reproduction is dangerous.

why would we treat animals equal when they dont have any inteligence? insects are so simple that they cant feel even pain. mammals are more complex but still not inteligent. any inteligent bieng deserve the same rights as any other, no matter if its made up by cells or metal

Your ignorance being a prime example. :)

Just because they don't live in giant buildings or destroy the world they live on or slaughter their fellow species in world wars doesn't make them any les our equals. Sure, some creatures aren't 'highly intelligent' but there are plenty that could outsmart us.

Don't forget, we may be different species but we remain as animals. We still have our basic functions and primal drives, we are really no more special than any other animal we merely have a somewhat better ability to things in accordance with our own species.

Many many animals can do naturally what we require machines for like flight or high speeds or even defences against certain bacteras. Half of what we do actually proves we lack a lot of intelligence, such us the people who lead the human world and the domination of it being 'our' world and ignoring the fact the world is being destroyed by us and of course the fact we hunt animals to extinction for 'fun'. :ermm:

That is exactly what I'm saying. The robots will think the same thing. We have no intelligence compared to them. Capiche?

Oh, and your comment about insects not being able to feel pain....

Let's just say you should be glad there is a wird filter on. :@

That is the most ignorant thing I have ever heard. How the hell would you know something like that? Youare proving my point with your raw stupidity.

Yeah, and humans ARE mammals, you twit.

What's with the attitude?
No need for name calling.

By the way, "intelligence craves power" is equally absurd and unfounded.
And generally, the more intelligent a person is, the less they crave power, because they understand how everything functions.

Craving power is a sign of fear, greed, and ignorance, not intelligence.

What's with the attitude? Okay, I'm not even going to answer that.

Secondly, intelligence does cravepower. It is wisdom that stops people from craving it. Why do you think humans have taken over the world and enslaved all other species on the planet? Because we can. When you have the ability to do something, and the intelligence to realize it, it's only natural to follow through with it. I usually agree with your opinions, PhranK, but I have to disagree with you on this one.

For example, let's say all of the ants on planet Earth grew to three feet in size. They would now have the ability to take over theworld. They would be intelligent enough to realize it. Therefore, humans wouldn't las much longer.

The so called "superior" <_< race always comes out on top in the end, and this so called"superiority" always involves intelligence. As a matter of fact, intelligence is nearly required to create lust for power and ambition. There are many more species of animals out there that are more intelligent than us. What keeps them from becoming the same failures that we are? Wisdom. Other animals tend to have common sense and a close affinity for the Earth. They treasure the planet while we disregard and destroy it for momentary pleasure. Humans simply do not have as much common sense as other animals; you can deny it if you want, but that is my opinion. Intelligence and wisdom tend to have an inverse relationship, so as humans grow smarter, our greed grows as well.

Look at any dictator on panet Earth. I assure you, all of them are intelligent.

And there are a billion more intelligent people on this earth that aren't dictators. That's like saying, this cat is orange, so any orange animal is a cat. It doesn't work both ways, associating intelligence with a greed for power. Nothing should be categorized and stereotyped like that.
