 You guys are missing what I am saying. I'm not saying that a smart person is automatically evil. :ermm:

I'm not even talking in terms of people at all. I'm talking about the difference between races. If a new race came to Earth right now that was twice as intelligent as we are, they would naturally take us over. Capiche?

You guys are misenterpreting what I'm saying completely, but that's probably my fault. Bottom line:

Intelligence is something that tends to be required for power. I never said that all smart people lusted for power.

That might be natural to us but not necessarily to another race. Domination is a human thing, you don't see dolphins building empires or trying to take over the world do you? My point being that yes it may be natural for us (though not all of us), it could actually be the total oposite for another race. You are assuming all other races are as ignorant and abusive as we are, I hope they're not otherwise it's a sad sad universe.

The sole reasons dolphins haven't taken us over is because they don't have opposable thumbs. :lol:

And you say domination is a human thing...so don't you think that something created by humans would share that hunger for power? :/

Also, there are other species out there that take over others, humas aren't the only ones.

When I said "intelligence craves power," I was talking in terms of species, not individuals, sorry if I didn't make that clear. I was also talking in terms of generality. You can't deny that the more intelligent race always is "victorious." You will probably never see a less intelligent race enslave one that is on a higher thinking level than they are.

There is no denying that intelligence plays a part in conquest.

Not really sure I agree there. Look at the theory of relativity. Einstein created a theory that could help us and what did we do? We created an Atomic-bomb so we could blow each other up. That's not really a sign of intelligence. A sign of intelligence is taking something and doing something worthwhile. Creating a bomb is yet another step in our endless story of self-destruction.

You could also say Intelligence brings power but, ultimately, bring our Demise, at least in human's case, when mixed with ignorance and stupidity.

There is a difference between wisdom and intelligence. :yes:

Intelligence is simply a natural ability to analyze and comprehend information.

Wisdom is applying that knowledge.
