I just started using IE again today, and I can't believe I ever left it for ForeFox! It blazes compared to its counterpart, and it has a lot smoother look to its scrolling. It also actually uses most codes and has no problem with downloads! I thought for sure FF was the best, but now I am seeing IE through different eyes. Does anyone know why my IE might have gotten so much insanely faster than my FireFox all of a sudden? It's freaking me out a bit, but in a good way. I'm just so happy, it's a million times faster than FireFox! Sorry for the random rant, but this is awesome. I can't believe so many people hate IE and prefer FF. This is by far the better browser. Sorry for the seemingly useless ramble again, but I just want to get this out there: IE does NOT suck! Why does everyone hate it? |

Firefox is faster. Firefox uses less Ram on most cfomputers so it is alot faster when multitasking. Also you wont be saying IE is good when you see all the ad-ware, spy-ware, and viruses you get. Have fun surfing with IE

I will. But that's just why 'm asking; why is my IE so much faster? It's like some kind of bizzare mutation. |

IE sometimes appears to be faster. I have noticed when I switch between the two IE seems faster for a while, but it really isn't. |

it's only your mind. Normal. I mean, you are using a chair, but you switwched to a more comfy one. Then, you come back to the old chair. For a few days, you feel good in there. |

Sigh.. IE is faster, because parts of it are loaded into windows.. You could say that it cheats to make it seem faster. |

Ie is faster, because of Temp. Internet Files. FF is faster because of Cache IE wastes memory because it dosen't delete anything. |

IE is horrible. You get 10x the adware, and spyware. Give me one reason that IE is better, other than loading certain codes. |

Tabbed Browsing: Never found it useful Better Security: I have yet to see evidence of this, I have never gotten a virus on IE G-Mail Notifier: Doesn't matter to me, I don't use G-Mail ForecastFox: Never heard of it, but if it is one of those stupid welcoming news pop-ups like on AOL, then screw it. ![]() Center Click for new tab feature: Wooooooow. Extension Options: I'm not entirely sure what is meant by this, but this is probably something IE doesn't have, alright then. How can it "seem faster?" That makes absolutely no sense at all. Also, when you move the scrollbar in FF, it looks jaggedy and halted, and very annoying. It is smoother in IE. So, okay. I value your opinion, just respect that I can have one. There is no factually better browser. |

Using IE over FF is like using a rotary phone over a touch tone. IE uses an out of date rendering engine which barley supports CSS2. It also can not display semi-transparent PNG images and incorrectly displays valid code. IE has a hard time displaying 1 pixeled dotted borders, styled fieldsets, and sometimes incorrectly displays unordered lists just because how they are layed out in the coding. IE uses ActiveX which is one of the reasons why it is so insecure. Running IE and FF then checking for spyware on your PC will prove the insecurity of IE to FF. When I use to use IE I'd get to around 50-80 adware/spyware files. Using FF only brings up around 3-10 adware/spyware files. FF is open source so it gives users the ability to customize the browser with modifications and also has useful features as explained above by Das Ein. IE does not include the popular feature of almost every other browser now which is tabbed browsing and does not give you the ability to customize it. Those are my reasons for using Firefox. |
