I've used IE & Firefox for months now-IE for years. =P And Firefox is factually [a lil' boldness there] better. Why? Internet explorer IS more unsecure. Trust me, you may think you're not getting spyware/adware in large amounts-but more than likely, you are. Also, it seems faster? You know there's ways to make Firefox load a good 10x faster regardless of internet connection, no? =P The tabbed feature's very useful. In fact, the next version of IE is actually ripping FF on it [literally. The update documentation provided by Microsoft.com actually includes the tabbed window feature. Huh. Real original right ere']. Firefox is much more customizable-be it coding, skinning, whatever. Now, I will agree, I wish Firefox could load scrollbars, and certain javascript codes [I know the latter's for security, but it could at least be an option of sorts. :ph34r:]. But, most codes/effects are supported by FF, and just work better in general. Plus...the Adblock extension is pure genius. Right click any image, .swf, etc. and block it at it's source. It's how I can stomach Tripod sites. =P IE isn't horrible, don't get me wrong. But I've learned first-hand that it's security's lacking, it doesn't have as many features as Firefox, and..ehh. But, whatever works for you. =P All the same, I'd rather use Firefox. Opera, I never got into-and I haven't messed with too many other browsers..but eh. All the same, the pipelined Firefox really is a great browser-and RAM usage wise, speed wise, and security wise..it IS better than IE. :ph34r: You can argue with that if you'd like. |
