*Sam downloads stuff at the blinding speed of 2.5 kbps. :w00t: for cheap dialup! :'( EDIT: Oops...offtopic...*gets self back on topic* I don't use Linux personally, but I've heard it's quite useful and nice once you get the hang of it. |

Quantum-locked when observed.

The download time varies a lot. Firstly there's of course your own connection speed. However, it can be faster if you choose a server closer to you. More people on the server make the connections slower. Doing things to your computer, especially downloading other files, will slow it all down. ![]() I backed up files while I was downloading mine, which slowed it down a little.

other games are available on Linux. Armericas Army being one of them. Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, as well as Planeshift(a fully free fully 3d online RPG) are all available on Linux. Planeshift is actually being developed on open source, will be open source and will always be free haha. most games that are purchased normally screw u for being WIN32/Mac compliant only. i want to find a true base UNIX enviroment supported OS. just because i can... haha people: person 1: "i run windows XP pro i r t3h woot!" person 2: "I run a Mac with the latest release of Tiger. Me r t3h gooder!" person 3: "pfff. i am the running of Linux. im r t3h l33tness!" person 4: "haha i r t3h wint. me am the rooning UNIX's" person 1:"..." person 2:"..." person 3:"..." person 4:"Pwnt" no one would expect it. -------------------------------------------------------- btw, i am thinking im gonna bust out my old 185MHz Silicon graphics machine that we have had in my house since around 95-97. it runs a GUI'ed UNIX platform that i wanna play with. this is guaranteed to mind F with me haha. any tips for a UNIX enviroment?. i will take pictures of me failing to use the machine as well |

Awesome: Your download speed : 1969173 bps, or 1923 kbps. I thought it was 500 something. Back on-topic. Ubuntu is also great fue to there support. Most people there are very educated, and can answer questions quick. |
