a good suggestion would be about the domains. i hate those long domains like sX.invisionfree.com/forum_name . why not make the domains easier? something like http://forum_name.invisionfree.com . or http://forum_name.if.com or something VERY easy to remember. is it a good idea? |

Uh, Domain Manager lets you set up your Domain (not offered by InvisionFree) to be your board's primary domain. InvisionFree does NOT offer Domains. Why do you think they put a Yahoo banner up there, eh?  </offtopic> If you could get a free subdomain, like at no-ip (Google it), you could use it for a domain. |

The reason that http://boardname.invisionfree.com would not work is that many boards have a _ in their name, which isn't supported by subdomains. However, the Domain Manager compensates for this, allowing people to purchase whatever domain they wish, hiding the usual URL from users. |

Meh I dont like your idea anyhow. I kinda thing sX.invisionfree.com/name is a bit catchy B) Anyway you have a place where you can add your own domain to your board for free...just use that... |

You can get free ones, wouldn't be like .com, but could be like .co.nr or .cjb.net or .tk etc.... And it would be kinda cool to see it like sx.if.com/boardname |

Many boards have the same name, except on different servers. What would happen to them? You could do: boardname.sx.invisionfree.com But many would be unhappy with a 3rd level domain

Grr, those aren't Domain names! They are redirection services; there is a difference! <_< Free domains do not exist without gimmicks, at least in my experience. |

I'd rather have that. The "s numbers" can be hard to memorize, so sometimes people lose the link to your board. |

Bookmark the link then, that's why the Favourites is there.  The links are easy to remember if you're planning on sticking around. If I know the name of a board and it's number, I can type it in with ease but for those who can't, they should bookmark it.Short or long link, some people just can't remember link names anyway so I doubt shortening the IF link will do much good in the long run for those who can't remember the current one. :/ |

Bolded domains are NOT REAL DOMAINS, but Redirects. Also, .cjb.net has been proven to have Spyware once. I don't trust it. I agree with Jay.
