Hello All, I knew of a good forum that helped peoples forums when hacked called IF secure well it's GONE "404 board not found" well now I'm having hacking troubles & need help fast so if they have a new board or if there is somebody like them let me know. Their site: http://s4.invisionfree.com/IFSecure/index.php thier homepage: http://danmnzjob.tripod.com/ I think the anti-hackers got hacked  In the meen time I've locked down my board to all that I can think of but this hacking guy is a pro :w00t: he changes e-mails,member names, & has some sort of IP cloaking device! you don't need a security forum to help you keep your board secure. All you need is a good password and trusting staff members, especially Admins. They didn't get hacked. They were shut down for breaking the TOS, like any other board that says 404 Not Found. Also, you did not get 'hacked', you were cracked. Someone got a hold of your password and used it to log in. |

Hmm, only 18 members, I have no clue who the admin is, and not to mention the admin has damn in his username... I'm not sure if I would trust them or not. |

Client Tools Download our Tools that assist in backing up your valuable code :blink: In others words they get admin cp access to make copyies of your board wrappers and css. Security Lists Find out if your forum members have cracked or spammed or ripped other forums So if they have a lot of forum members who did that, you can be sure you need to check a lot. Its sounds to me like cheap n00bs |

Please listen, you don't need anyone else to help secure your forum, as long as you follow the guidelines on this support board and have a secure board and email password and email secret question then you have nothing to worry about. Trying to get help from other people can cause more trouble then it's worth. Those 'security forums' are not endorsed or promoted by IF in any way, and any that ask for acp access should be steered clear of. IF cannot be hacked, only cracked, and you can easily prevent that. |

They do not ask for Admin CP access. Please let me make this clear. THEY DO NOT NEED ADMIN CP ACCESS.
NO I made the tools. The tools extract the code by taking it directly from the board code. It does not need to access your admin CP.
IFSecure does not deal in this area. It attempts to help people create secure accounts that are hard to crack, gives general security advice on more than forums, and helps admins to manage annoying members. It used to have many members, but they deleted there old baord for some reason. |

Why can't a admin do it byself? a simple warning that you must have some backups of your CSS and board wrappers is much easyier? doesn't that make the tools crap? |

1) Some people don't know how to 2) Some people are lazy 3) Some people are dumb 4) Some people don't have the time 5) Some people like the ease of being able to click a button and having their wrappers backed up That's why. It's a service, not a requirement.
It depends on what you want as an admin
So where is this warning? |

Personally, I don't think dumb, lazy, stupid people with no time to spend on their boards should have one in the first place. I think that members should have to pass an IQ test before they're allowed register. |
