Ok i agree on that its easy to do it in one click but that site is selling crap because it can be done very easy.

And like SipeFree said they shouldn't have a board in the first place.

And that warning is here.. if you didn't notice it anybody who reads the topic knows now that you must have backups.

Also IF makes backups.

Yet people still end up having their boards cracked.

As of yet, no board that is protected by IF Secure has been cracked.

That doesn't say anything there are 650,000 boards hosted on IF and only a couple of those are ''secured'' by IF Secure.

And the reason why most people get cracked is because they don't have good passwords

So an extra service trying to provide security doesn't hurt anyone.

Most people won't even read the forums. You can blame them, but you can also try to help them with their security before they mess things up.

Stop using pesudo logic. If they don't come here they may not see the topic. Even if they do come here they might nto see the topic.

Stop using pesudo logic and start using normal logic. There is no reason to hate something that is attempting to help others.

all I can say is the topic starter had no idea about the security tips posted on IF and if he didn't know it, it's not only his fault but probably the fault of the security board he was 'using'.
All good security forums, if they want to do the right job can offer security, yes, but at the same time make sure the people that ask for help see all kinds of tips that can help themselves and that should include giving them links to the topics on this board, for example. And most of the time, posting them on your forum wont be enough. You have to tell them personally, via pm or on their board when that's the case so they will see things for themselves.

The fact of the matter is, InvisionFree gives tips on board security as well. We have dozens of topics located all throughout this board, and a page on our homepage: http://invisionfree.com/index.php?p=art_sec
Just because a forum which gave security is gone does not mean your board is insecure. If you're not willing to take measures of security, then eventually, your board may face such unfortunate events.
This is why we take the effort to back up all board regularly.

And seeing as yet another topic has gotten out of hand, this is closed.
