Yeah but Brandon sold zetaboards to crapatalk..despite assuring everyone that zetaboards was safe. He lied. He didnt have to sell but he did. Clearly making a few bucks...and he must have made something....means more to him than years of loyal users and staff. People who gave their time freely..and for what? To,be stabbed in the back and lied too. And then he says nothing and leaves them to take the fallout! Now he’s got a cushy job as developer on crapatalk!

Like we've mentioned before, perhaps he felt it was best so they could lighten the workload some by having a group watch the servers for him.
I don't think the plan was to shutter ZetaBoards at all last year, or we would've been on Tapatalk by last Christmas like what happened to zIFBoards.
Like I say, why want to go through the backlash and bad PR twice? I mean you've seen the thousands of posts we've got between the two support forums mentioning our dislike of the merger and how many have fled to Jcink/MyBB/etc.

However, I still can't excuse Brandon's lack of communication. It's been four months and we've seen him once on ZB and once on TT and a ZB staff post. Otherwise he's lurking or offline. That I can't forgive.

Perhaps it's part of his contract with TT, not to communicate in any way.

To clear one thing up, Brandon didn't know the support board was being migrated so soon. This new mess is not on him.

And to be honest, I'm tired of reading the attacks against him. Just stop it now.

I posted in another thread that I wasn't even going to log-in to this board ever again following its migration, but seeing it like this got me to change my mind.

God, this is just... I have no words. And I don't mean that in a positive way at all. I just hope someone takes over this board and turns it into a RPG or into a general-discussion board. Because, without the support board, a forum service can not exist. iPBFree had their support board running on vBulletin and it simply didn't make any sense. ziF & ZB were all using the same software for their support board. Jcink is using the same software for their support board as their users on their service.

Seriously, this is all that remains of ZetaBoards. Also, I agree with sugar puff and Gaomon274. We've been screwed over. The paywall era of free hosted forums has officially begun with this service massively buying out other forum hosts. Until I can't afford a server and a licensed forum software, I won't be starting any big boards at least. Smaller ones... maybe. But not bigger ones.

Maybe he didnt know Tony,but this whole mess IS on him. If he hadnt sold his soul to crapatalk,people wouldnt be angry,and Stephen wouldnt be leaving would he? 15 years he has given to this place...

In a way it makes sense to have a support board hosted elsewhere.
How you can tell people the servers are down, if your server is down. Yuku had a backup support board which was monitored by Chris, Thats where we went for answers when we couldn't get on to the yuku servers. I guess these days Forum Providers would have a Facebook page to fill that role.
