VB is one of the best coding programs you can use. Not neccessarily the easiest to use (as you would have to have a previous knowledge of VB scripting before you can use that program to it's full extent) I use notepad if it's light modification, but if I'm going to tackle a PHP code, I would use AceHTMLPro 3 as it has the line #'s on the side which makes PHP script debugging much less of a chore. |

Visual Basic. It's good for small things, but not for anything large. |

Yep, VB.NET, Visual C# .NET, Visual studio.NET, all pretty big IDEs But they do include a lot of functionality in them- visual editor for designing dialogs, debugger, compiler, documentation... So it will take up a huge amount of space, however you shouldn't have to use anything else. Unless you're coding for the .NET framework, then it's an extra 20MB or so on top of that  |

notepad is good due to its simplicity....it does require you to actually have some skill though, unlike Frontpage which does everything automatically (and with extensions that ruin your site on non-frontpage servers) |

I wish.. ![]() Noop, programs can help you make coding easier, but you'll have to do most of the writing yourself. |

I'm not sure if there are any generators of that sort. You could however get an existing piece of code and modify it to your needs (given you know what you're doing). @korn mosher if you know quite a bit of C++ already, ASP isn't far off. As ASP is basically C++ coding, but for the web

ASP/ASP.NET is gorrible. Seriously every ASP powered site i've been to runs so slowly, i've yet to visit one that runs at a half-decent speed AFAIK it's Microsoft's web language, correct? It wouldn't surprise me <_< |
