After using the latest version, all I can say that Invisionfree is HELLA easy compared to it.. *is majorly confused with simplest of things @ ipb* So don't think IPB is a peice of cake even if you are a IF King/Queen/Kueng :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( |

Yes indeed. I've looked into a few IPB ACPs and they are no where near as easy to use as IF. I  IF.Duffman rocks! |

I wouldn't know since I dont' have a crappy IPB, never have, and I don't want to pay 108 a crappy year. i've been in: IF IPB (just once)(and that was on a 1.3(1) board) phpbb ff proboards and some others. Sry if I seem angry, my stupid (imo) mom siggned me up for a stupid 'after' school math 'class' (kumon) and it SOOOOOOOOOOO freaky ridculous. |

Truely, IPB is difficult to operate, but it is the same, just more options, unlike IF were all the features are condensed. IPB does take time to get that hang of, and when you do....lets just say "On the other side of the desert lies the promised land". About the part where IF "kings/queens" wont stand a chance, I have to agree and disagree on that. I aggree because IPB is a whole new ball game, but i disagree because IF is made from IPB, so it is stil the same concepts. As for the whole mess with PHP and SQL......lets just say thats the part that 'sucks'. IF is truely a luxory. I guarantee you, if you ever move onto IPB, you'll learn how rough it is to run a full message board. IF is a sort of "Good Training Point". I started out with IF. Stayed for a year, then i 'grew up' with message board knowledge and moved to IPB. It was hard at first, but now look at me, i do technical services for IPB! lol. |

The best feature of IF i like is the uploader and you dont have to do that image directry thingy like other free IPB hosts.

IF is a really good host for hobby type discussion forums and the likes, but IPB is for more professional and commercial type of dicussion forums. IPB is the full blown version and if known how to use, you can do things that are just plain beautiful. |
