Bah.
We need to stop wasting effort with alternative fuels and everything and start working on alternatives to the automobile.
They need to go bye bye, along with all the roads and parking lots needed for them and the sprawl they lead to.

they do have a substitue for the car.... its called..... the bicycle!!!

That is a good idea if you have $$$. Airline fuel is more than car fuel.

Well if you had like a helicopter, you could get around easier.

You got money to buy that chopper? You got money to maintain it? You got a landing pad for me to land on at the mall or at school or my home? You got money to pay for that fuel? In the end it wouldn't pay itself off.

All we need to do is be less dependant on foreign oil. Drilling in Alaska is an alternative. We would be drilling in .01% of the 100 mile area they wanted to drill in. And have you ever seen pictures of it? It's barren their are no animals on it. Think about it the Alaskan pipline is more of hassle of land space than this drilling area.

Researching these alternatives to cars is expensive as well. And it's no going to be cheaper than paying $20 at the pump.
