Never did comprehend British money. :wacko: But, assuming an average American gas price of $2.00/gallon, that would be Ł1.05725/3.7954liters, or roughly Ł0.27856/liter. Personally, I doubt they can be made safe enough at all, much less in an economically feasible manner, so they should simply be done away with. We don't need the oil at all, and especially with those sorts of risks. For the most part, we just need to stop being selfish consumers, but for the things we do actually need, there are already alternatives, all of which would drop in price if they got more support, and new alternatives could be discovered. The inventor of the car had a pretty good idea, but didn't think it through very well. But it's a bit unrealistic to expect someone to predict things that far into the future. Still, the signs must have been there even just a few decades after the machine started churning. :/

Bunny Boi of IFS Posts: 3,215 Group: Members Member #38,568 Joined: December 17, 2004	yeah considering you guys drive on the wrong side of the car and street (to us americans), im surprised you dont have more accidents anyway i live in california and it just wouldnt be a normal day unless you heard of about 10 accidents in the morning. though one car i never want to drive with these higher gas prices is one of those SUV's or Trucks that have the hemi motors in them.

Ours are only 1.49 a gallon or so, but that's because I live in New Jersey and we have all the oil refineries. What do I think the ideal solution to the gas dependancy is? Hydrogyn engines! Theoretically, if this was done, you could run your car off water!
