There have also been people who have signed Affidavits swearing that she can talk a little bit, that she responds, and that her husband has told her to the people's face that he wants her dead. He has no credibility, in my opinion. |

They cannot "let her live". They have to actively support her, to keep her alive. They can (and are) let(ting) her die, naturally. Personally, I think I would be in great mental pain, being unable to do anything at all, and having no hope of changing that situation, I would rather be dead.
Artificially keeping her alive is much more "playing God", than just cease doing so. No, we cannot know what she wants. But the one who is most likely to know her wishes, is her husband. |

Then you are meaning that if someone is in a condition to where they can't do something for themselves to remain alive, no one should play god and help. Plenty of people would be glad for the opportunity to help feed her. Her parents, sister and brother for sure. No one is asking that any of the "die" supporters lift a finger to do anything. |

:blink: The entire case is about reinserting the feeding tube, she's been without water or food for about 6 days now.  Anyways, I retract my earlier comments, and now I think the government messed in personal affairs they shouldn't be messing in. Its between the families, not some government. To me, these moves sound politcally motivated. :/ But my opinion... undecided. After hearing somethings, such as she might not be in the current state they think she's in, but in a state of minimal conciousness, I had to rethink everything. |

Death. All your conservatives are fools. She is in a 'veggie' state. The cortex of her brain is dead. It is literally useless to keep her alive; the family members are just making trouble to themselves. Call me evil or not, but it is true. I do not consider it true. Kind of sad that all ya'll Repubs have made the US in a state that you should make a will saying if the tube should be pulled or not?   And bush is even more of a fool. He has nothing to do in his life except go after stupid foolish things like this. He is the president for god's sake. Like logik said, US gov. should BACK OFF. Bush is worrying about stupid things like this; no wonder our debt is 7,000,000,000,000+$.I totally agree w/ TigerDiamond. |

Ok a few points - * Her husband got $1.5 million dollars from a lawsuit that he won for her, saying that she that the Dr that she say the week of this happening (Before hand) missed something that could have saved her life. She won that money, NOT him. So yes she does have money. * Her husband has now got another family, where he has 2 children with this other woman. If he wants to get on with his life, he should hand everything over to Terris family. * Terri is not a vegetable. * Terris husband, denied her of any rehab treatment, and dental treatment (Can you imagine not brushing your teeth for 15 years!!) He denied her any treatment at all. Treatment that would not make her 100%, but would give her a greater life than what she has now. * Terri laughs, Terri responds to her family, Terri smiles, Terri looks around the room. She is not hooked up to a type of life support, where she needs it to breath. Only a feeding tube. And before anyone jumps down my throat, yes this is life support, but eating is something that she could learn again. * To take that feeding tube out, means that Terri will starve to death. You are not allowed to starve your own dog without going to jail. So why on earth are they allowed to starve her. Terri is not ready to die, her body is not ready to shut down. * The brain, if given the chance is the only organ that can repair itself. So why cant Terris brain have that chance. * It is also being questioned now if her husband had anything to do with her acident. |

Well, when we say vegatable, we are basicaly using a metaphor to tell her state of being. yes she is not a pickle, but is a good reasonable thing to compare her to judging on her state of being as i said before, and i agree with you kells LIFE |
