Nothing out of norm here. Something will eat us in the end. And they will probably not worry too much about it. Stardust to Stardust - Just enjoy the trip and leave some foot prints. as I am eating some fine chicken tenders Can't tell if they ran on the range or around in a cage. They are tasting a lot like Hot Mustard and Sweet & Sour sauce anyway. Some things just best not known.

<3 mine [big]Miaow[/big] Posts: 11,056 Group: Members Member #20,669 Joined: June 5, 2004	Being eaten is only one reason for existence, bearing in mind we are also animals and no amount of evolution can change that; we still pertain to this day our bloodlust, not everyone but there are plenty who do...though they fail to see it as that. :yawn: Being food is one reason for existence, recreation is another, etcetera. Although at the end of the day the reason for existence is down to each individual as we all see life differently. Some think we exist to carry out the 'divine word', others think there's no point, some think we exist for a hidden reason. The list is endless. I wouldn't say it was ignorant to say chickens are a good food source in spite of the fact I no longer eat meat (I've grown tired of it), it might be ignorant to think that should be their only* existence but that's just my opinion. I'm all for animal rights, I do think some of the conditions these creatures are kept in is rediculous. They may end up as food but why keep them miserable throughout? Either let them live happily (and thus produce eggs or milk or whatever depending on the animal type) or just kill them as soon as you can. It's living torture some of the conditions they are kept in. So yes I'm all for improving conditions but I'm not going to preach about not eating animals, I did it once and I only don't because meat has become boring to my pallette(sp?). * note that I use only rather than the most prominent. I say this because chickens are a common food source for meat eaters and thus it can be the largest reason for their existence now but certainly not their only one.

Not all animals, only the ones that taste good. Seriously, only animals that are meant for eating, to keep a healthy lifestyle. I'm not ignorant, I am just following the way of the food chain I guess you can say. I mean I don't mind having a rabbit in the backyard I feed it, give it water, if you think I'm cruel to animals I am not. There is a difference between having animals for food and doing it just for sport.
