I would pay, but no more than $20 a month. I wouldnt switch to IPB because I already have it, and believe it or not my IF forum looks alot better and is much bigger.

I think you meant Lothomendil. Anyways, what's the poem?  :r Besides, phBB is a piece of crap as well. Proboards.com is even worse. Vbulletin just does not have style. What's left?

Invisionfree!

There are actually a few other free forum software (that you have to host) that you can use as an alternative for IF if you ever decide to put in money. (or get a free server...)

just google these and you will find tons of information on them, even land on thier homepage

and as a last resort, use phpBB if you want.

Because I can.

No, I wouldn't pay. I mean IF is awesome, but thats because it's free. If we had to pay, I would rather get vB or IPB. IF wouldn't be able to compete with them. But IF is awesome. Mabey I would pay for IF 2 though.

I wouldn't pay $165 a year, that's more than domains cost, that's crazy talk, :P

I would pay, hence the $165,

Hosting usually costs much more than domains anyway. YOu can pay 5 bucks a year for a domain and 5 bucks a month for hosting.

Yes.
I'm scared out of my wits when I see some other service (:X) so I'd probably pay. :)
But if IF was like $165 a month, I'd just leave the forum thing and probably move on the websites and type of thing. :)
But I'll never get used to IF's new name if it is paid, since it can't be Invisionfree anymore. >_<
Probably InvisionPaid. :r

Well, I would probably decide after IF 2.0 comes out. Probably yes, but I'm still hedging my bets.

We could change names for you... :r

But then I couldn't call you/us IF, unless you/we become "InvisionFee."

*giggles* that's what I wanted to say hehe... InvisionFee (there, said it :P )

I don't think I would pay. But I do know that for example ez-board (may their butt itch and their arms be too short) gets lot of money from donations by making people donate to the individual board, not the company itself. Of course it's kind of with a gun to people's head because the board will be almost useless if ad-removal isn't purchased... <_<

I prefer a free service that actually works and has loads of goodies (like, say... IF? :P ) and then you can buy even more goodies should you have the urge and money... like now... so I guess I'm just a conservative who wants things to stay as they are

I don't think the idea of letting people donate to ad-removal on the individual board is a bad idea, if you combine it with a decent free service. But I have no idea how complicated it would be to set up... and then there's the issues with companies like paypal eating up a fair part of the donation in fees...

Those things you removed jay are forum software just like phpbb, not a forum hoster like invisionfree. :/
