Deleted User	Dookie was great. I did some covers off of that album. Not too complex stuff, guitar-wise, but pretty fun. Kerplunk was rather good too, I thought. Can't say I've really heard much of their other stuff, except the songs off the new album that they play on the radio, and those couple they did for their Mtv special years ago. The new songs seem pretty good too, except that Boulevard one is repetitive as hell. :/

I liked pretty much everything they've put out since Dookie, however this new album "American Idiot" ..doesn't have me convinced yet.....I'm not a big fan of holiday or american idiot... ..but I will say this... I'm glad to know that with this new album Green Day has gotten out of the habbit of playing 3-chord songs and is trying something different with melodies...they didn't quite hit it with this album for me but i'm sure they'll hit it as they start experimenting more and getting the right sounds out...maybe with the next album.

But I like it when bands get experimental ( a lot of people don't) but I like it. ....you know I don't think Green Day likes being a punk band either, b/c they have potential to be just a good band period. I remember they were once saying how they wished tehy picked a better name than "Green Day" ..and then they talked about how they dont want to be just a good punk band..they see themselves as a just a good band........and now they're breaking out of their 3-chord limit. while we're on music I need this to be answered: Does anyone like "Cool as Folk" type music AND System of a Down ? just wondering.

I am waitng to ored that one online, because I can't find it in any stores... But I do agree, Dookie did rock! I personally like 'Chump' and 'Pulling Teeth' the best off that album. I like American Idiot, but it's defianatly not my favorite...
