everyone was thinking after yesterday's no vote, Ratzinger was out of it. Guess not. He's very conservative. Hopefully for the Catholic church he doesn't push the doctrine back a few decades.

That's pretty good, actually.

Heh, I'm sorry, but when I hear Pope Benedict XVI I cannot help but think of Benedict Arnold. *shrugs*

I guess when I hear the name Benedict I automatically think of it.

Yeah, he was elected really fast, just 4 elections!

Anyways, he's really conservative and if any you are hoping for the cathoilc churche to change its stance of homosexuality, contraceptive, women priest..etc etc, then you'll be sadly mistaken. :(

Yup, the church shall remain, sexist, homophobic and living in the past..

Yeah, I knew their pragmatistic beliefs on situations would not change. I know they will not because homosexuality is a sin. It's sad though. I value more modern views rather than biblical. I see absolutely nothing wrong with homosexuality.

I am catholic, and the catholic stance on homosexuality is that we(catholics) have nothing wrong with someone being homosexual. However when certain acts occur, then it becomes a sin and is not accepted by the Catholic church. As a matter of fact I know a priest whom has a gay brother, and he has nothing against him.
