Yes.

It's really aggrivating how people are already against him because he was technically in the Nazi Youth camp, but once he knew their motives he left.

The guy's 78 now. WWII ended almost 60 years ago. He was 18 back then. Germany had conscription. Of course he was in the army. Half of Germany was in the army by the end of the war.

I found that out in math class which is wierd cause the teacher wasn't Catholic, and there was only one student that was.

I think one of the reasons they opted for Ratzinger is his age! He is 78 years old, so will probably only be Pope for perhaps 10 years...Then, I think you will see a more Liberal Pope being elected....

I'm sure Pope Benedict the XVI will do a great job, but could never replace Pope John Paul II. I just hope that The new Pope Cannonises John Paul soon!
