 Let me just be the first to say that a lot of those games are compatible with the other two systems, and aren't X-Box exclusive in any way.

 Lancebraker some of those games are compatible and the ones that are look alot better on the X-BOX. The XBOX graphics are better than the other systems, the xbox graphic processer has 233 MHz and The PS2 has 150 MHz and the GCN has 162 MHz (wow the GCN has beter graphics than the PS2).

so i should buy a xbox so i can play games with somewhat better graphics? what a console really needs, imo, are exclusive games. and the xbox simply has very few that i like ( Ninja Gaiden and Jade Empire are the only ones i can come up with right now ).

btw, i doubt that that guy, even if he created the series, can simply release a final fantasy game on the xbox. square enix likely has the rights of the series, not that guy. and you need a TEAM to make a game, not one guy. so it will be totally different. look at the cube's FF ( its a shame to the name though ), other development team than the PS(2)'s final fantasies.

and i don't think any of the current 3 major companies will "get out" anytime soon. microsoft can put money in the project even when they "lose" money with every sold xbox, sony has made so much money with the PS2, they can afford the PS3 to sell no mullet ^_^ .

nintendo on the other hand should be a bit carefull, until now they got the gameboy to keep their asses safe but now they have to fight hard against the PSP. should the revolution be crap, then it might get very hot in there, but i doubt nintendo willl et it come that far, they're in it for so long, they will make sure to keep their ass safe, but if they'll beat the competition? they have to change their ways... do it like the cube did and it will be a scary ride ;) .

But if you compare it that way then look at PS2 and GC compared to a good PC and you will see the difference, and if you know what you are doing your X-BOX can compete with many of the good PC's outhere.

What??? The PS2 is what, $150, and the Gamecube is $100! That's off, the PS2 is so popular for its games and capabilities. :P

I believe Nintendo will hold it's own for many years with handhelds, sony with consoles, and Microsoft may just turn out to be big for modding both sony and nintendo products, you never know.

 I believe that Nintendo will do its greatest effort. Like they're making some sweet games, and releasing some new copies. And with the upcoming Nintendo system, the Revolution, I do hope that Nintendo will have high hopes of it! Good Luck, Nintendo. ;)

That's not true. The FF team has always depended on the Japanese market, always will. But it is a slight chance that they might turn to Microsoft Game Studios Japan®. :)

I said slight, so don't jump up and down your seat, braking it, and then paying over USD$60 to get a new one. ;)

 Right now XBOX is the best, but is overshadowed due to the past success of Sony. Sony and Microsoft will be neck and neck with the XBOX 360 and the PS3. Likely the 360 will be more popular because it will be out much sooner than the PS3. Over time, Microsoft will stay with Sony in the console portion. The PSP has revolutionized handhelds. Gameboy was really all there was until the PSP. Now we all realize that Nintendo is not doing their job in producing a quality product. Nintendo will try to stick around, but will lose tons of money doing that. They should give up now and keep what they have made before it all goes down the drain. This would allow Microsoft and Sony to battle it out as they should. I will likely get both, but I will probably like the XBOX 360 more than the PS3.
