Gettysburg was the turning point in the flippin' American Civil War, my friend. If the north had not won that battle, it is very possible that the south may have prevailed, and America could have continued the practice of slavery for a long time to come.
--O and if the bomb at pearl harbor never dropped, and we never entered the war Hitler might have taken over, and there might be no one of any other race.
3-You can't perserve the past forever. Things happen move one.
But you can, and should preserve it, and keep it sacred. History repeats itself. We need to remember the Civil War so that it doesn't happen again.
--Give an example of when history repeated itself due to not rembering.
4-Think about all the buisnes the casino would get from it being there. It was a smart move by the casino owners,
Who cares?! Money meansnothing compared to the sacred history of our country! Tear down one of the greatest battle sites in the history of Earth for a little money? I don't think so!
--Tear it down. 10 miles away isn't tearing anything down.
5-No court is gonna care about some online petition.
his site has stoppped movements before with their petitions. The least you can do is try to help.

Your all getting worked up over a casino that isn't even on the exact spot. I am pretty sure that if the people who fought were still alive today they would say that millions of dead people from the tsunami are more important than a casino on there battle ground.
I am not saying this is a good thing. I am just saying it will happen. If not now then later.
The world is growing, and rembering one thing over millions of deaths is not the smart thing to do.

Be thankful for those who gave their lives so you could live in freedom to sit on your ass at the computer today and shoot down a petition that will save the land of their graves. Also, how is using this country's economy to make a friggin' casino helping tsunami victims?! It's a waste of money that could go towards these efforts.

 We need to remember. If you haven't paid attention you'll have noticed that more people scince the civil rights movements are showing racist tendinces. I myself have meet 10 racist people last year, these were the first racist people I have meet.

--I am sure anyone that fought in the war would want to see the reason the died fighting for in action. These people died to defend the constitution, preventing someone from doing something perfectly legal is breaking the constitution my friend.

You people don't get it. I had 15 close relitives die in that battle, and another 10 died in Pearl Harbor, and my grandpa was in a natzi torture camp.You think I am un-american or patriotic?
Lets see you hit people everytime they do something unpatrotic. Lets see you cry everytime you look in a text book and see the horror that was done.

What does current racism have to do with anything? We're talking about signing a petition to keep a petty casino away from one of America's most historic battlesites.

trust me I know what war is. Almost all males in my family have gone to war, or served in the armed forces, and I intend to do the same.

Well you should understand why this cant happend or we will be doomed to repeat it.

Building a casino wont make everyone forget things. If anything it will draw more people.
This event isn't going out of text books over one casino.
