The Synaptic package manager kept asking for a Perl library in my case, so I ended up downloading the i686 binaries from the MySQL site... I guess the dependencies were messed up :ermm:

*Stefan passed the Linux n00b stage only a short while ago, so he never heard of apt-get :unsure:

I've got it on ISO, but like ASDF123, i'm wondering why I should switch to it from SuSE 9.2 or not just wait for Fedora 4 which comes out this month....

They probably wouldn't be able to 'h4x0r' you if you were on Windows. :P

I'm on Ubuntu a lot of the time, I only use Windows for Graphics and Gaming...

IMO Ubuntu is better than SuSE at package management, while SuSE beats Ubuntu at supporting more hardware and having some fun stuff like Beagle. Fedora is simply the suck :P so bloated.

Does SuSE work properly with encrypted wireless internet?

'Just as well...'

@Storm, you burn the iso file, then restart, go into Setup, and change it to boot from a cd.

Should be pretty simple from there, unless your graphics card doesn't work with it at first, but you can very easily fix that. :)

I bet you could too, it was the perfect instructions of Seth being fed through the (ever so slightly less perfect) 101 machine... Which in the end resulted in no Internet on my Ubuntu at all, so it was kinda convienient that I accidently corrupted the Ubuntu partition (whilst trying to enlarge it) and had to reinstall it anyway... :rofl:

@Storm, what did you download?

What burn program are you using?

Did you save it as a .iso file?

*Francis tries to remember how he burnt it...
