We have a few 'Mod Volunteers' already. :mellow:  One has (had?) it as his title, the others just backseat moderate without the title. >_<  Heh, wonder what the 'Admin Volunteers' would do?  Just say boink? :P

I think they would just go around, backseat moderate, act all tired from doing "support tickets" (:arr:) and carry a large outdated ban stick that still runs on Windows ME. :ph34r:

Admin volunteers would claim to have complete control of the site, and demand that new forums be added or shut down. :P

Nah, all Seth does is say boink. Brandon too come to think of it. :r
I kid, I kid. ^_^ :wub: :seth: :duff: :brian:

I am an Owner volunteer XD, Heh I dont like Mod volunteers either but :wub: the actual mods. Alot of the backseaters like to make up rules if they don't know or just impress or intimidate new members. It happened to me when I started at an IF board...

Admin volunteers {creepy}

Have you guys ever thought about maybe having an elite membership? or is that another bad idea

:rofl: No I'm pretty sure the last 10 (at least) things Seth has said in the Staff Rooms is '*boink*'. Too many trouble makers that have to go bye-bye. :lol:

My goal is to one day destroy the phrase "Support Volunteer". I think it needs to be on the word filter. :yes:

I'm sick of seeing it in people's member titles or sigs. Because the majority of the "Support Volunteers" have such an ugly past, if someone proudly displays it, I'll be sure to keep a closer eye on them in support. The phrase needs to be stabbed into pieces...
If someone is reading this and they have "Support Volunteer" displayed somewhere, can you just explain why you have it there? If you're helping in support, don't worry, we notice you're helping, you don't have to define it for us. Plus, you can instead put something else in your member title. Something cool, like, 'Catz Rock', or whatever animal you prefer...dogz, frogz, giraffez, ocelotz... "Support Volunteer" has a very bad record and can make you look worse at support than you may be.

So yeah, I think we've established the support clan idea won't work. It would just be an extra insignificant thing that encourages the demons to come out and play. :dan:

A blast from the past.

I was trying to convince Seth that "Support Volunteer" should be the name of the ban group.

Ok I get I am the most hated person here now XD... I'll try and think of something better next time.... please masters do not continue to beat poor Dobby for his mistake.

Would it be ok just to form a support pact you know with some really good people and just make sure we answer 75-80% of all support questions kinda like strangle the market on it and not really leave alot of room for the bad support people to ruin things. Not really a clan just like a pact or treaty if you will amongst all the people that do give above average support. And this way the bad people can be more easily identified.

Lol Support Volutter =banned group I'll remember that Rofles and beer

Wouldn't work. I hate to point it out but the ratio is somehting like this:

Good SVs | Bad SVs
75% .::. 25%

If I was feeling malicious (:shifty:) I'd say it's even worse than that. :/ Bad SVs can be identified a mile away, forming a pact won't help us. I think we're now attuned to bad SVs to the extent we can smell them before they register. :X

We're pretty eagle eyed when it comes to SVs, same with suck ups or potential trouble makers. They all carry the same smug grin, unoriginal signature and an avatar that went out of fashion long ago.

I think we should have that embedded in the Support Forum rules as well as the reply boxes. I'm sure the code for having a background image in reply boxes is arond here somewhere, we could make a 'Quality-Over-Quantity' graphic and stick in there. :w00t:

Mod Volunteers get eaten by me. I see it and I make your life a living hell if you don't remove it.

Well I was really talking about quality and quantity I mean if I could be on 24/7 and knew all the answers I'd do every single support question I could. But you get a group that can take different sections of the day and know most of the stuff then most people get the right kinda support before someone else can drive them off.

But I guess you are right Jay It might not help that much.

For me, mainly in reference to something else, however it's true to this as well. It should be plastered everywhere.

The better your support is the more your are appreciated. The number of support topics you have posted in has nothing to do with it, if the support is poor.

By the by Shivan, I don't hate you. :)

The Problem with SV's is they don't realize they are SV's. That is why nothing changes. Oh sure we can crank out punishments no problem, but that doesn't stop it from happening again.
