 Just so us FF users don't get too boastfull, a few days ago i read in computeractive that FF does have a security hole ... but i cant renember what!

Most tabbed-browsing extensions come with a keyboard command.  It's Ctrl+PgUp and Ctrl+PgDn for Swift Tabs.

This is one thing I don't like, but I too lazy to change. CTRL-PgUp should be forward a tab, and CTRL-PgDown should be back a tab.

I don't like FF. IE is better as I've already said (even though you all [99%] seem to disagree). eg. FF hasnt got coloured scrollbars! and doesnt aol have tabbed browsing as well?

I think it's good their bringing out a new version and I'll most probably use it!

Coloured scrollbars are also not in W3C specs for CSS. Although I don't know why they aren't in the specifications . . . they seem accessible enough . . . but until they are a standard, they are not supported.

Are they Microsoft proprietary code, is that why? Or is there another reason?

Indeed, one could only hope for a better IE. As a browser, one must acknowledge that it does do its job. It browses the web. I just happen to like Firefox because it's an open-source product, and overall it has more possibilites for a web developer.

If IE7 for some insanely fortuitous reason does have, for example, PNG transparency support, I'd be jubilant. I'd not be a convert, but at least that's one more thing I don't have to worry about.

So I sincerely wish the Microsoft Development Team (or whatever acronym behind which they choose to hide) good luck . . . whatever the end result is, I'm sure it will be interesting, whether good or bad. :unsure:

 You guys are really overly biased for FF and against anything Microsoft, IE included.

whether u guys like it or not u still gotta give credit where its due. Without IE you guys wouldnt have a Firefox to love.

think about it! without all the anger towards IE, no one would have specifically recoded netscape to make a browser. hehe

 security holes although exist depending on what u do and how u use your computer/internet it may or may not affect you.

dialup users....ur safe just run a scan once in awhile

normal users...ur fine again scan.

anything involving unsafe sites/special sites....use FF

 Oh, definitely Firefox has security holes. :yes: But the advantage to having Firefox as an open-source software is that the entire development community has the opportunity to find bugs, and even fix them. We are in effect sharing the wealth (er . . . not monetary wealth, wealth of programming).

And it's true that Firefox owes part of its existence to IE, much in the same way that Canada owes part of its existence to the U.S. :D
