Well, I may have also seen one when I was about 12, but it was Halloween, so somebody could have been playing a prank.
Seemed really high up in the sky for a prank though..
It was also triangle-shaped, and lit up, but seemed solid, not little lights.
More like if you were to take 3 of those glowsticks and glue them into a triangle, though the triangle wasn't equilateral..
And they didn't have those glowsticks back when I was 12. :/

Aliens definitely exist. I have no doubt that there are thousands of species out there somewhere--some much more advanced than us, others millenia behind. Also, don't say we're like "pond scum" or "monkeys" compared to them. That's offensive to those species. Naturally, however, I believe humans are just arrogant (no offense to anyone, it's just a fact.)

Also, the UFO stuff is total BS...no matter how advanced an alien race is, you can't travel faster than the speed of light, so it would take anyone thousands of years just to get here no matter what (or, what if they're even too advancedc for that? ). Anyway, there's no way of knowing; hell, aliens couldbe watching yu right now where you sit with cloaking devices on, monitering and taking notes on your movements. Just sayin'. :eh:

:alien: < They probably don't look like that, though. *Ahem!*

In fact, I am an alien so I should know. I use this board to control all of your braaaaains! Yum.

Conform!

you watch too much sci-fi

as for aliens - i can't be bothered rewriting this so i am stealing my post from another forum

Kingy (Ferion Forums)

We live on a single planet, in a 9 planet star system called sol. We know of thousands of other stars and are only beginning to be able to accuratly chart them. If you assume that each of these also has a few planets, which nebula theory would suggest, it would appear their to be hundreds of thousands of planets.

I find it more believable that aliens exist than i do that we are the only planet in millions that supports life.

Fact of the matter is, we cannot see other planets, even with the most powerful telescopes we can only see a handful of planets out of our system. (namely that of Alpha Centauri A). This means that it is quite possible that their is a planet out their that would support life.

Saying that, i don't think we would ever be able to get their. even at light speed it would take hundreds of years to reach other stars, and light speed is not attainable. Also, you cannot go faster than light, (quantum phisics) so it would seem pretty dam hard for us to get anywhere or anybody to get to us.

The best signal seti@home has ever picked up was sent from a place 40 years away at the speed of radiowaves. That would mean a conversation would take 80 years for a simple "Hello", "Oh hi". Also, there is no saying what the signal was, and it could indeed of been a star or anything.

So while i find it near impossible for us to be "alone", i believe that it would be near impossible for us to ever meet anybody from another system. and if it does ever happen, i feel sorry for them stumbling across this hell hole of a planet
