Everybody who has Support Volunteer thinks he/she knows enough about IF to be a Support Volunteer my opinion is if you want to be one you should do some sort of test. Now everybody can be a Support Volunteer even the latest joined member! and also those volunteers dont always give correct support.. Btw Paul Ritter knew a lot about it but i heard he had done some things that weren't correct |

Everyone that gives support=Support Volunteer. Why? Because, As stated before: We Volunteer to Support. Staff aren't paid to work. They volunteer thier services to help us. So, this IF Support Volunteer Crap is useless. I mean, you don't volunteer to help someone volunteering, don't you? |

I'll try to make this short and sweet. The reasons why a lot of people are getting labelled by this whole support volunteer fiasco is that the user is giving off bad impressions on a lot of members. Sure, many of them give accurate and good support, but you can tell that someone is only doing that so they will look good for the staff and members. You can detect hints of members just posting support so they can get on the support team. Of course, many of you aspire to be on the support team, but you shouldn't let that take over the manner of you post and how you behave on this forum. One of those behaviours are people who post on every single support topic they see. If you all claim that there are more than enough support volunteers, why not just answer 1-3 topics within' a span of a few hours and let the others take the rest? It will show that you're willing and capable of giving good support (should that be the case) but there is no hint of "sucking up" (per se) it's too early for me to go in-depth...ill post the rest of my thoughts of this later on...I posted my opinion on a topic just like this and no one else replied to mine I believe... |

If you say there are too much support volunteers, you say there are too much members that give support. You see, people hate the Stereotypical Support Volunteer. A shameless noob that gives wrong information 99.99% of the time. |

If you go to give support, you volunteer to give support, thus, you are a support volunteer. |

There is adifference between giving your support and labeling yourself as a support vounteer. It just seems to us that by wearing the title in your member title or signature is a way of trying to impress us or something and it does the opposite. We want nice, helpful, normal individuals, not mass amounts of unhelpful users with a silly label. |

I don't know why do I need some uber tittle to help people...tittles are generally silly...is "Platyna - teh almighty IF support admin" more helpful than just "Platyna"? Why do those people needs any titles? To feel better? I like helping people, but when I feel I misreaded or gave wrong advice I prefer to "delete" my post...you know it if better to be suspected of being stupid than post and remove any doubts. ![]() If someone really wants to help he don't need any titles but some RTFM (Reading The Friendly Manual) and a bit of knowledge. ![]() Regards. |

like what was said before, alot of support volunteers try to post in every help topic, whether its useful or not. I do help with support, but if i dont know an answer to a question i leave it along. which is what you should do. dont post usless garbage. as a matter of fact as i was giving some support/ answers to some peoples questions and was reading the topic. one guy posted. " Patience". no to me that is spam. no support no nothing. and that was after his bump of 3 days. like that was said before, most people that have support voluteer in there title will most likely give crappy support. and will prolly get restricted from support. there are alot of people that do give good helpful answers to the people that need it. and everyone does applaud them cuz it does make the staff's job easier. that is just my two cents
