Yes they would :/ . Some people only post here so they can have a higher post count, obviously if you took away the post counts from posting members would get upset and make a 1,000 topics asking why it doesn't go up, I can guarentee that. |

Mmm.... no post count? Heavenly. ![]() But yeah, they would go "OMG I MEH POST COUNT WONT GO UP OMG OMG OMG LOL" on every forum. They do the same when servers are down, so why not post count? I don't really see the importance of post count, really. |

*Jay nods. Just look at ol' Ritter. Highest post count on IF at one point and he turned out to be an uber numpty. I like Phranky boys' idea of random post count. Seems to serve little point on here really except to make people feel big even when their egos are massaged are the wrong reasons.Up with randomness.

He had more posts then all of the staff members did at the time, he was almost at 10,000 when Seth had the highest post count [Of any Staff] of around 7,000.All he did was stay in the Support forum and refresh the page every two seconds so he could answer support. |

But the thing is he would average 100+ posts a day and if you looked in the support forums you would see two pages of support all answered by him, sometimes he would just repeat what others have stated just to boost his post count up. |

Actually.. no I don't, it's common sense not to answer a questions if it's already been answered, sometimes when another person it replying to the topic the same time I do we post the same things at the same time. |

How about hiding post count for members only? Then spammers would have a hard time finding out how well they're doing, but staff can still see who is helping out. |
